saddlerock yarnbomb '13
One year after swearing off yarn forever, I was lured back. First I was contacted by Woza Moya in South Africa about consulting on a tree yarnbomb similar to mine and again by a GAGA in the UK. Then I learned that Marcy Kraft aka Crochet Grenade, someone who had sent me pieces for my yarnbomb, needed help with her Rubik's Cube yarn bombing outside of Comicon in San Diego. To repay her favor, I learned hot to crochet and I was "hooked".
After shipping off her squares, I set about yarnbombing the massive boulder which sits atop the Saddlerock Trail in the mountains of Santa Barbara. 2 months later it was done. Once again, the yarnbomb was removed without leaving a trace just nine days after it was installed. This time all the material was vacuum sealed to be reused on a future project.
